Geoffrey Ogwaro is the manager of the Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity and Expression and Sex Characteristics (SOGIESC) Unit at the Centre for Human Rights, Faculty of Law, University of Pretoria and a doctoral student researching access to justice for LGBT people in the equality courts of South Africa. He is also co-founder of the West Nile Rainbow Initiative, a registered community-based LGBT rights organisation working in the West Nile region of Uganda
